Summer Aid Eligibility

Aid types available during summer quarter include Federal Direct Loan, Federal Pell Grant, WA College Grant, College Bound Scholarship and Private Educational Loans.

The amount of federal student loans available is limited to the annual eligibility remaining from the 2023-2024 school year. Parents of dependent students may wish to utilize the Parent PLUS Loan to assist with summer educational costs. Students must be enrolled half-time (6+ credits) or more in eligible coursework to be eligible for federal loans.

Students or parents may wish to pursue Private Educational Loans to assist with summer educational costs. Some private educational loans may be available at less than half-time enrollment. More information about lenders we frequently work with is available on our Private Student loans page.

For specific details regarding eligibility for all of the above types of aid, review the Summer Financial Aid page.

Important Reminder

By registering for summer term, students incur a legal obligation to pay tuition and fees even if they are not eligible for summer financial aid. This debt may be cancelled only if students officially withdraw via Web4U or contact the Registrar's Office before the appropriate course refund deadline.

Students should contact the Financial Aid Department before registering if they have questions regarding eligibility or are unable to complete the online application.
